Well, as these things go - once I find something I like, I run it into the ground. Is anyone else like this? It's a quasi-addictive personality thing for sure. In this case, I'm running these One Teaspoon shorts and Gucci crossover heels into the ground like roots.

Check it:

Same shorts, same channel. This time worn with a men's (DUH) APC sweatshirt from many seasons ago. Yes it's LA, we can wear sweatshirts with short-shorts and SOMEHOW this makes sense.

A jacket, not for "styling purposes, but for those very real moments of walking into a building that is CRANKING the ac.

Knotted in the back - is the built in belt.

Last looks - with the jacket.

Annnddd without. So long!

Here's my math equation: if you wear several pieces that don't go together (with good taste and fit, of course) eventually it'll all cancel each other out. Is it true in all cases? Probably not. Is it true in this case? You be the judge!

Full look:

What you're seeing here is a SUPER boxy (and wrinkled) men's t-shirt worn with silk pants, Air max sneaks and a mixed fabric moto jacket.... woof.

This tee wouldn't normally be paired with these pants. It's large, cotton and not particularly chic on it's own. But methinks the tee makes the pants more wearable and casual. Silk Pant + Tee = cancel out the fancy.

A little front tuck, juuuuust in the front.

Could have gone with a heel - but picking up the pink in the print and mirroring it in the kicks.

Jacket time - Check the leather sleeves and varsity moment at the cuff and hem. It's a good moment, baby.

The prints have ZERO to do with each other... but they're canceling each other out as if to say "we aren't two different prints mashed together. No! We are all one print."

What do you think about this combo?

Some days you just want a jumpsuit. And if you've done your shopping right, you have a stylish, non-frumpy jumpsuit waiting for you on your lazy day. If you're in the market for one and don't know what to look for, I've got your back! I'm not saying you need this jumpsuit. This one is specific to my personal taste.

Here's what to look for when shopping for a good jumpsuit.

FIT: jumpsuits come in all shapes, but if the goal is NOT to look like you rolled out of bed, look for a jumpsuit with tailored details. Check the slim leg, pleats and cinched waist. Still comfy.

STYLE: go with pieces that say something about who you are. If preppy turns you on, go for a jumpsuit that is prim. This one is dressy and sporty. Varsity details make it casual. Great tailored design pulls it up.

CONSTRUCTION: for the love of geranium, don't buy anything that looks like it might fall apart at the seams. Invest in  well made clothing and wear them for a LONG time.

COLOR: black is safe. But black is black. You'll be more impressive in color. Find a piece in another smart neutral like navy!

Final step is to STYLE your jumpsuit. I know the whole point is being lazy, but add a couple accessories, shoes, scarf, to make it pop even more.

That's it for the check list. Leave comments why dontcha'!
