OUTIFT//LAB COAT STYLEE

It is 106 degrees outside. I accept heat over cold. I find it therapeutic, but something has got to give - meaning the fewer clothes the better.

Short shorts, duh. Gauzy top, duh. Open toe sandal, no-duh. Mini dress used as "lab coat-esque" cover up? Not so duh. But Duh.  (The heat has also melted my brain)

Behold, the elements...

Ye' old gauzy top sloppy tucked into ye ole' denim short.

SHOP MUSCLE TEES

This is an old Alexander Wang dress bought on super sale, that I keep using as a layering piece. Check the sheer paneling and architectural sleeve.

Worn all the way open like a lab coat. Some coverage, yes! Flowing in the wind when I walk, yes!

OUTFIT//ONE TRICK PONY

Well, as these things go - once I find something I like, I run it into the ground. Is anyone else like this? It's a quasi-addictive personality thing for sure. In this case, I'm running these One Teaspoon shorts and Gucci crossover heels into the ground like roots.

OUTFIT// ALL RED AND READY

Sometimes when getting dressed-I give myself little style challenges that could result in my looking ridiculous. Went in the closet today and my inner self said "how many different reds can I put together without looking like a clown?"

Prepare for a total assault of your eyes with the color red!

Full look:

What you see here are THE SICKEST red leather trousers paired with a barely there tank and silky button up shirt.

First the pant! These are Isabel Marant trousers (bought on super sale) and cut to style perfection! My heart dropped to my feet when I saw them.

Check the slouchy fit, jogger style waist band, the sporty piping down the seam AND the cropped perfectly at the ankle hem!

So what do you think? Clown or no clown?

WEAR MEN'S CLOTHES... FOREVA'

Surprise, NOT surprise... I'm wearing men's clothes. Not just men's clothes in my size, actual men's clothes in sizes too damned large to be worn by me, but that's the whole point of the look: OVERSIZED, slightly off.

You might ask why I do this  - welp. It's because I appreciate the fabrics and details in men's clothing...

If a garment is good and CAN be worked into a look - I say go for it. Wearing these men's shorts meant, wearing pieces that mirror it's dimensions. Hence, boxy men's sweatshirt and jacket.

The sweatshirt is also camo for the mayhem underneath...aka the large shorts! Belted.

Do they bulk up with the belt? Yes. Nothing a little Jooszhing can't fix. Pushing extra fabric to the sides.

Toss the oversized jacket on for good measure.  Check the great details!

The only thing that isn't menswear. Three words that scare straight men to death: PONY. HAIR. MULES.

HOLIDAY CABIN VIBES

Happy holidays! Celebrating with full cabin vibes for the next 5 days. When packing for the snow, I'm into pieces that do double duty. Makes for a less bulky baggage situation. I present to you the scarf/head cover combo. Read on!

Outfit starts off basic enough... matte black J brands and a sweater.

In wintry weather, texture is king! Flat sweaters are boooo!

Go-to tweed coat, nothing new.

But wait! This black scarf, ain't any old scarf.

It's a TSE cashmere piece, with built in head covering. I'm taking the long scarf pieces and doing a messy wrap around the neck. Making sure to leave wisps of hair sticking out.

And it's done! One piece for two needs and I don't have to pack a beanie. Hallelujah!
