SURE... it's exciting to see what's next from the brands we know and love BUT don't you want to see what's next? Yeah, I thought so too. Here's a list of design houses/brands showing at NYFW - that I'm excited to see!
The New York based collection of contemporary sportswear founded in December of 2014 by Alex Gilbert from Paper Denim & Cloth and Jennifer Noyes is still considered new on the block. You gotta' love em for sending illustrated drawings of their guests as invites to the their show!
They're making their NYFW Debut this season.
WHAT TO EXPECT: Fresh American sportswear. Something like this...
Sandy designs those shaggy fur coats, worn by NYC's downtown cool girls. I featured Sandy Liang once upon a time on the blog and am happy she's showing this Fashion Week! She launched her collection in 2014 and has a full ready-to-wear collection that is worth checking out.
Remember these vibes she gave us before? CHIC!!!
I want nothing but success for this shoe brand launched by Brooklyn-based Aurora James. She and her hand crafted shoes made in South Africa, Kenya & Morocco have been featured in Vogue et al. Well deserved for sure! If you look for it on Instagram you'll see the presentation Brother Vellies held today, which Kanye attended... (Borat voice) Grrreat success!!

Oldies but goodies from Brother Vellies to fall in love with:
Since 2005 Creatures Of Comfort has been the spot in LA to find hard to get brands with a directional and playful perspective. In 2010 owner Jade Lai opened up shop in NYC and started an in-store brand. It's been building ever since, showing a few times now at Fashion Week NYC and getting delicious coverage from the likes of Vogue, to blogger fave ManRepeller.com.
Today, Creatures of Comfort had their presentation - can't wait to see official pics, for now a few blurry Instagram snaps!
More coverage on FW to come! What young brands are you all looking forward to seeing more from?
